I had a rose hair for 15 years, and I never smelled her... these are what I would call no stinkers too I don't think tarantulas are aggressive as a whole compared to some spiders... but the Giant is defentlly more alert I would say? They haven't charged me or anything... I really don't have enough experience with different typed to give a good answer to that
