Haha, i'm sorry that is hilarious but honestly, do snake have bowel problems? I wonder if he just gets to comfortable that he just decides to go or if its more like "oh well i have to go and the temperature change pretty much seals the deal."

Re: Seriously...really?????
Isn't it surprising how much they can really go to the bathroom? It makes me feel like my snakes pee more than I do
Here's something to make you feel somewhat better:
Last night I was holding my Beardie and watching tv on the couch around 12am or so. My Beardie was laying there all relaxed and calm, when suddenly she gets up and stands up. I wondered why she was doing that. Then she wouldn't sit still, so I was like, "Okay, I'll put you back." Right when I put her back, her tail goes up in the air, and then she drops a load. I guess standing up and trying to move around is a sign of "Please let me go into my cage, I gotta go!!"
I'm glad I put her back in the cage, she took a dump that was nasty as hell. I even thought to myself (before I put her in the cage), "Oh I don't care if she goes on me, at least I don't have to clean it up in the cage." Though, I'm kind of glad she went in her cage LOL. I didn't clean it up until the morning because I was really tired and needed to go to bed since I happened to be sick. In the morning my mom woke me up and said, "It smells so bad up here!!!"
My Beardie smelt up the entire second story of my house, just like last time she went to the bathroom.

Re: Seriously...really?????
When you handle your snake your helping that crap move around which makes it easier to go. This is one reason a snake will go as soon as you clean it's cage. Just imagine when you need to go, if you sit still you can hold it, but if you do a few back flips like BG does daily, you may have an accident.

Re: Seriously...really?????
Here is the solution to your dilemma. Get a roll of gauze and wrap it around his tail (sort of a snake diaper if you will) before handling him in the future.

If you soak the snakes in warm water for a few minutes before you hold them, they will pee in the bin of water and you can dump it and dry them off before holding them.

Re: Seriously...really?????
I know it is hilarious...my husband cannot stop laughing and it has been like an hour. He walks by me and starts cracking up.
hmmmm...the diaper method sounds like an idea.....lol
Thank you BG for trying to make it seem like it's not me. Ya know...even when I worked at the zoo...I had a problem with a very large Black and White Lemur "marking his territory" on me all the time. I think I was his B....Oye...
The bath might be the trick prior to holding them. We did find out tonight that he LOVES to take a bath. After the whole ordeal my hubby cleaned him up by putting him in the sink. Well...he was swimming around and LOVING it. He actually freaked out the hubby because he would leave his hand and swim under water a couple of different times.

Yep... never fails. I always check my little female's bum-area before taking her out, and if she looks too bloated, she can forget crawling around in my sweater!
I resolved to taking that approach, AFTER she pee'd on me three times.
