    snake petting?

My lil 09 ball hatchling loves to be touched. She will lay there for like 10 minutes and just let me rub my finger down her back. She also likes for me to rub her under her chin. All the things I have read say they dont like to be touched around the face, and they dont like to be petted? Is my snake just weird or does anyone else have a snake like this?

    Re: snake petting?

My baby ball Muffin loves to be petted like a dog, and has no problem whatsoever letting me touch all over her head. I assumed this was because I am raising her from a baby and she doesn't know she's not supposed to like it. She is a very cuddly snake too!

    So nice!

    Re: snake petting?

My normal is 5 months old and she is totally like that. She would rather be out with us than be in her cage!! We are working on getting the 3 month old bee to be like that but it is taking a while. Though he would rather be out of his cage...I don't think he likes us petting him at all. He tolerates it but that is about it. The new baby butter....not a chance...she wants nothing to do with it at this point.

    lol mainbutter, you're very bad

To get back on topic... I have an adult BP who also seems to enjoy my attention, so I wouldn't say that your snake is weird at all.

Though my BP can't tell me she enjoys my company, her actions have lead me to this conclusion. When I open her tank, she will often come out on her own, headed in the direction of my shoulders. She will burrow through my hair, and then climb my head as if I'm a submarine and she's my periscope
