How much did your electricity bill increase?
Anyone notice a jump in their electricity bill when they got their tank all set up?

I run a rack and no..not really. Since I have an on off thermostat the flexwatt isn't really on all that much.

Tanks cost a lot more to maintain energy wise from what I understand.

I pay 85.0 a month to run my racks and space heater... my elec company can tell me exactly what each room costs and actually asked me one day "did you put a space heater in X room?"

This.
And no, a 4 tub rack is like, what, 60 some odd watts.
Also your electricity company may notice these things because from my understanding they watch for increases in power usage in case people are growing pot indoors.
Also a tank with a 30 watt lamp and a UTH would probably turn out to be like 60 watts total, meaning you're looking at the cost of an additional light bulb.

If you have a fairly cold house and run a space heater in a dedicated "snake room" you might notice a jump, not much though unless it is a very inefficient one. If you do use one get one of the newer oil filled radiators from Kenwood or Honeywell sold at HD or Lowes. I just use cages with built in belly heat and no space heater. The room stays at about 75. No real diff in the power bill with heat tape or UTHs (unless you have 150 cages )
