Seriously, how many more times can I be sick??

So, earlier this year I had the flu for about a week, and now I think I'm getting a cold. You know, that weird feeling in your throat, sneezing, kind of stuffy nose in the beginning. I think I'm getting a cold, but only time will tell. Hopefully not, I really don't want to be sick anymore, it's such a pain in the booty. And the worst part, my colds last for a week, and on the worst days of my colds I have the runniest nose ever. I guess I don't have a very good immune system from the junk I eat.. I hafta eat healthier..

How many times have you guys been sick?

And really, I prefer being at school than being sick. To me, being sick is like spending day after day in hell. It's no fun at all.

Yeah I've been resting, and drinking a TON of water. I'm not getting any flu shot, I hear there is mercury in it. I've never really gotten any flu shot, and I don't think I need it at all. If someone is healthy (eats right, takes their vitamins, etc.), they are less likely to get the flu.

LOL oh yeah more soup for sure. I've already gone through 3 bottles or so of water. I think I just have a regular cold, my throat hurts a bit, nose is stuffy/runny, and kind of coughing and sneezing.

sorry lol i had the flu last week! now im vaccinated for h1n1 and the flu so ironic the day after i got the flu i was supposed to get the shots! Lol

I had the flu about a month ago, and it was horrible. I felt nauseous all day long for about a week, and I barely ate anything. It's hard not to get sick when you go to school while everyone is sick with something. Yesterday my friend who had a cold or was still gettin' over it breathed in my face while my mouth was open and I thought to myself, "Oh great.." and that night I started getting a sore throat and stuffy nose.

That sucks. Have you been tested for allergies yet? I know that affects my immune system, and causes me to get sick more often than most people... I'm allergic to a TON of things (trees, plants, flowers, certain animals, dust, etc etc), which lowers my immune system for fighting other illnesses. So it might be worth checking out, if you haven't done a "scratch test" already. Hope you feel better soon!

Sorry to hear that you got sick, i have had 2 kids in my class get the swine flu so far

If thats it for the year thats not that bad, for me thats a good year. I usually get 4-5 colds. the flu at least once and this year I spent all of august with pnuemonia.
I use cold-fx and the stuff does work. It isnt a cure but reduces syntoms and you get better faster. Sometimes if taken quick enough it will prevent the sickness. It is expensive stuff and was created right here at home. my mom works for the alberta research council here in edmonton and thats where it was created.

Just recently I had the seasonal flu followed RIGHT AFTER by bronchitis. Fun stuff.
