new to leos

new to leos, and was wondering if 3 females could fit in a 20 long, if i had the right amont of hides, also about how much crix does 1 leo eat a day,last ?? is a have a 10 gallon UTh, could i use that with a combination with a red lamp cause they can see red or should i just go out and buy a 20 gallon heater.

Twenty gallons is small for 3 adult females regardless of how many hides you put in it, in my opinion. As for heating you will need it to be around 85-90 on the hot side during the day, around 75 on the cool side and night time temperatures can be around 75-80, regardless how you do it (I'm unsure of the wattages of your heating devices).

a 20 long is big enough to have a nicely decorated tank for one gecko in my opinion... and even though people have success keeping females together, i always recommend housing them seperately. Just because they are females doesn't mean they will get along. I've had females draw blood on each other before... or do really well together, and then one decides to start bullying the other...single is always better

i would buy the appropriate sized undertank heater, they work better. Make sure that you check that the hottest spot in the tank doesn't get above 92*F

also, make sure that you have a humid hide to help with shedding available in the tank at all times.

thnax, yea i have snakes, torts and beardies, but acutally have more room and i wanted som leos, the show im getting them at isn't till janurary, but got excited when i finally had spare tank and room

ok i have a question about geckos i have a few crested but would like to get regular geckos. i have an extra snake rack would they do ok in 15q tubs i would use for my snakes ??

I don't know the dimensions of a 15 quart tub off the top of my head, but I suspect it would at least work for juveniles. Minimal housing for an adult leo is a 10 gallon aquarium, so if you can roughly match that amount of floorspace, you should be good, though more space is good, provided you can fill it up with hides & other cage decorations.
