Walt.
Ok i will try and be nice about this, and I sincerely hope you understand that this comes from a place of love.
The groceries are *fine*. Perhaps not conventionally the best groceries, and as we know "Not ALL groceries are created equally".
But the important thing is how YOU feel about your groceries? I mean you are the one that bought them, and you are the one that has to pay for them, bring them home, unpack them, and then eat them. And your committment does not stop there. If you eat too much then you need to deal with any extra weight, if you do not have enough for your favorite menu item then you may need to buy more, and most importantly, it will be up to you to clean up after them (throw out refuse, dispose of excess food, and recycle).
That my friend is a big committment that may last a whole week!? So I really (and again I am being very sincere here) hope that this something that you have thought through?
What happens if we hate the groceries? Are you going to trash compact them, allow them to go to waste, or worse over spice them and serve them to family and friends?
Like I always tell people, if you need other people's opinions on your groceries, then perhaps you should be eating out?
Buy the groceries you like. Do your research. And be PROUD of what is in that bag! I mean something attracted you to those groceries in the first place right?
Find that and celebrate it everyday!
Sincerely,
Bruce

Quite possibly the greatest post I have ever read. Thanks for your sage advice, Sir. I thought enough of these particular groceries to bring them home, but I did want everyone else's opinion to ease my possible buyer's remorse. I do realize that with great groceries comes great responsibility, and I do not take that responsibility lightly. I'll be sure to keep everyone posted on all of the happenings with my new bag of groceries.

I think photos once they are out of the bag might be a nice way to feel some pride for them. We love photos here.

PS: Here is the milk I bought last week. I mean not the best milk, but when I saw it I just had to have it!
Sometimes it is just nice to get updated pictures of a person collection of dairy products to see how they have changed.

I can remember when milk only came in glass bottles.

Very nice, Bruce! Thanks for the update.
Here is the Pellegrino post unbagging.

With paperwork provided by the grocer, I was able to trace it's lineage all the way back to here.

Walt is this was anyone else posting I would question whether or not that bag of groceries had been photoshopped!
I love getting paperwork with groceries, you want to know your producer is reputable.

We used to get milk delivered to the house when I was a kid... guess that is where my passion for groceries in general, and for dairy products spefically, started.
So many reasons I love this hobby (of grocery buying).

Well to be honest Bruce, the Pellegrino bottle I just posted was not in fact the one in the bag. I decided to QT the bottle from the bag so I used an '05 proven drinkable bottle instead. I will start pairing up soon in hopes for some super six packs. Wish me luck!
