    Scale problem on head

Forgive me my sandisk card is having troubles on my computer today, but my oldest ball python is in great shape and never had any problems with scale rot, shedding issues or even feeding. He's a great eater!

A couple weeks ago I noticed what looked like a tiny bit of scale on his head that looked as if it did not come off during his last shed, or he dragged his head across something damaging his skin. The skin eventually came off and I now see what appears to be a indent in his head that is almost whiteish, hard and feels scabby. It has not spread beyond this tiny mark ( About the size of a sharpie marker tip ). I am wondering if this would be considered scale rot, if it will get worse and how I would treat it?

I know it is hard to judge without pictures, but I will work on getting them posted as soon as I can.

    Thank you for the assistance

    Re: Scale problem on head

He might have scrapped his head on something and a scale fell off. If it isn't irritated or bothering him it will probably fix itself by the next shed.

    A picture would be helpful

Thanks for the comment, I understand a picture would be a lot of help. His hide on the warm side of his tank is made of a rock like material and he sits with his head out often and occasionally will get jumpy and pull his head is quick hitting it.
