I pretty much agree with that assessment. As long as the bedding/newspaper is dry, and there is no condensation, slightly elevated humidity shouldn't cause any issues. Most of us have problems getting the humidity up high enough.
Use a soldering iron to make a double row of holes along the upper edges of the bins. This will improve ventilation and reduce humidity buildup.
