Congrats, my wife and I closed on our first home a little over a week ago and it felt amazing. We've painted, ripped up tile, put down new tile, and more already. It really does feel awesome. Fixing things and such on our rental (to keep the landlord from coming in and seeing all of my snakes) never felt anywhere near as rewarding as fixing up my own home does.
