i breed my own ASF's.

they have just recently got started enough that i can actually start feeding them off. and i only have a 1.4 colony going, i was HOPING to have 2 1.4 colonies going, but something unforseen happened and the male and 1 female out of the other group died.

i spent a little over $50 CAD on a 11kg bag of picolab 5053 (rodent block), 3xbags of living world extruded hamster food (not the best) and a 3cubic foot bale of shavings, and so far that has lasted me at least 2 months. so yes, i am definitely saving money BUT

i work at a pet store, and i get all my supplies at cost. but i still think you could save money if you bred on a large enough scale.
