help with cleaning snake excrement out of carpet
Our ball 'pooped and peed' on my daughter's wool carpet. The smell is horrible. How can I get it out?

There are a lot of oxy solutions you can use on it.
I personally would use an 'animal odor eliminator' spray on the carpet itself, scrub it out a little, then use it again. While it is still wet after using the spray pour down some arm and hammer pre-vacuum powder and it will suck all of the remaining liquid up then vacuum up the powder.

one of our retics has done this and we have had a green anaconda do it in the past and we have had to go out and rent one of the professional carpet cleaners to get the smell out.

Nature's Miracle or some other enzymatic cleaner will do the trick. Avoid all temptation to use Resolve or some other carpet/upholstery cleaner until you've followed the instructions on the enzyme cleaner. It's really tempting to use something to remove the stain right away, but if you're concerned about the odor, the enzyme cleaners are second to none.
I've got a cat with stomach issues (mostly controlled with steroids) and another who eats inanimate objects...we are vomit professionals. I've had my fair share of residents/fosters with other issues over the years, and the enzymatic cleaners are the only ones that really address the problem.
Although, if you're not renting, I highly recommend just getting rid of carpeting completely.

Goodness people... It's not rocket science
Chlorhexidine, let soak, scrub until it's sudsy, rinse. Chlorhexidine again, scrub with bristle brush, rinse. Then use Odo-Ban(found at Sam's Club or Wal-Mart-gallon of concentrate is less than $10) to get the smell out.
Chlorhexidine also gets urates out of carpet and any fabric like nobody's business. Just have to let it soak and it comes right out.

I've heard a lot of good things about Nature's Miracle.
