Is it possible to get a completely black ball python?
Basically the opposite of a leucistic ball python.
Albinism refers only to the reduction in melanin, where as Leucism refers to the reduction in all types of pigmentation.
Melanism refers to the increase in melanin, resulting in much darker pigmentation.
Following that thought..
Abundism refers to excessive amount of dark pigmentation.
Has anyone attempted or managed to breed an all-black ball python?
Is it at all possible?

Re: Is it possible to get a completely black ball python?
Super Cinnamons and Super Black Pastels are both all black. A Cinnamon Black Pastel will also be a black animal.
Cheers,

R.I.P. Steve, I'll miss you more than you could have ever known. I love you.

When I read this post I though more along the lines of 100% black like the belly as well. So as to that I think it may be possible but as far as I know no one has done this yet.

Aside from the belly the super IanG line Black Pastels tend to be completely one shade (aka no splotching and very rich in their darkness) black.
Ball Pythons 1.1 Lesser, Pastel
1.0 Lesser Pastel, 0.0.7 mixed babies

Come here little guy. You're awfully cute and fluffy but unfortunately for you, you're made of meat

Best bet is to try for a super black pastel- while not completely black they are "blacker" than super cinnamons at least.
