    I do not wish to add to any bad comments that may / may not have been issued with reference to your previous thread on housing / husbandry.

    However, I would agree with the comment from Oxylepy. Yup, whilst it could have been phrased better, I would say that you are giving yourself a lot of work here &, often, simple is best.

    Here is a photo of one of our 2008 Ball Python hatchlings (now a yearling).



    Note that the area is easily cleaned / sterlized & minimalism is the prefered method in order to achieve this result.

    There is no hide here as this tub is in the Vision hatchling rack & the shelving system provides dark security (i.e. black shelves).

    Now this may not be your idea of the perfect habitat, however, your tank can be easily adapted by providing a dark hide + sphagnum moss box for humidity + paper or paper towel for substrate + water bowl.

    Perhaps some simple covering for an area of the glass as the Ball Python must feel like it is living in a fish tank!
