    Re: Please Identify this Boa

Looks like a Central American boa (still a BCI) of some sort... I wouldn't be able to tell you the actual region, though. Looks a lot like a Nicuraguan boa. Or maybe Mexican, with the dark, dark tail.

    This might help: http://riobravoreptiles.com/boas_mexico.htm

And this is another wonderful website on ALL the different boa subspecies and localities: http://www.theboas.com/eng/index.php...or&nab=boa_nab

That tail shot definitely leads me to believe it's a Mexican. Unfortunately, I'm not an expert, by any stretch

Try emailing Gus at Rio Bravo with these pics. He's been all over the place and would probably be your best bet at nailing it down once and for all.

    Hm, this is a toughy.

I think LW is on the right track though. I think it may be a Mexican or possibly a BCI cross. Very beautiful animal though!

What is its attitude like? I here Mexican BCI's are very aggressive.

His attitude well, when I first got him He curled and made himself look real mean looking, got into the S and started Hissing, but then I stuck him in a bag and he became a sweet heart.

Two days later he was very Defensive near his cage and started making a loud hissing like a bull snake, Bite me twice... Haven't had the problem again yet. Just the darn snake won't Eat.. I am giving up trying for a few weeks/month. LoL after my last chance I stuck the rat in his face, and he stuck his head under his body and hissed lol.
