I would look at crested geckos, leopard geckos, and bearded dragons.

All are very different lizards and have different requirements. Crested geckos do not need insects. Leos are beautiful with their blacks, whites, oranges and yellows. Beardeds are full of personality.

Tough decision. I would figure out how much money you are willing to spend and how much space you have.... What are you looking for? Bigger or smaller? Terrestrial or arboreal? Lots of good lizards out there
