    new feeding problem while trying to eat rat

    I got my 4 balls 2 pups and a fuzziewell one ate no problem the other 2 wouold not even take, but 1 struck several time and hit it but each time never held on, then after strikes it would look like a yawn hope I am saying this correctly. any ideas or help they were about same size as large mouse of last week. when shlouldi try to feed again??

    Yes 1st time the all had no problem with a mouse around same size last week. I felt the one was hungry and he would strike at it once I would grab rat again he would strike a 2nd time and then like shy away and whats looks like a yawn he did this a couple of time

    Usually when a snake strikes and doesn't hold on, this is a defensive strike, not a feeding strike. If they were happy with the mice and regularly took them, just stay with the mice. There's no point in stressing them out by constantly switching food types.

    get them the mouse tomorrow. They will probably take it as they seem to like the mice better!
