    Julius, formerly known as Pedro...

I decided to change my little Mojo's name, since I can't stop focusing on the "J" in his pattern... going along with my Shakespeare theme, I've renamed him Julius (Caesar). He also shed the other day, and is growing like a weed, so I took a few photos for posterity. Can you believe he's gone from 93g to 273g (before pooping) in under 2 months? At this rate he'll be large enough to breed by spring, but of course I'll wait until he's an appropriate age. Anyway, here's Julius...

    Pre-shed/poop

It actually says "love J" when he's folded like this... see the heart?

He looks so much lighter after this shed!

His blushing is crazy! Under his J, it kinda looks like a mermaid, or some sort of human!

Isn't it though? This last shed made him even lighter, so I hope the blushing gets better with age!

That's exactly what I thought! I almost named him Triton because of that marking, who was Ariel's father from "A Little Mermaid" - either that or Jerry, since it also reminds me of an old Sailor Jerry mermaid tattoo. As Justin said in his original ad, he really does have a funky dorsal pattern... I find new shapes in there every time I hold him.

Wow, Lolo, he's fantastic! I love his markings, he's a real looker. The "J" is darling and I have to agree about the "mermaid" looking stripe mark. He really has some awesome color and blushing. Love the name change, too.

Thanks Becca! He is a cutie, but it took a while for his attitude to go away... he's still a little jumpy, but hasn't tried to bite me in over a month. He is also a total garbage disposal, and would probably eat a cat if I put one in his tub.
