Re: Official Week 8 BP.net Bowl Fantasy Football Thread

i dont remember you ever asking for bradshaw, but i'd be willing to deal him.
smith, jackson, and mendenhall... i'm hanging on to them, even if i have to deal with a subpar qb.
garrad isn't great but he's doing alright and i think stafford is going to have a great second half if he doesnt get injured.

and mark, greg jennings has turned out to be my biggest flop!

Ha...Neal I mean this with the utmost respect...but just like me, you are 3-4 also. I keep Matt Ryan because I essentially have two of his receivers, Turner and Gonzalez. Who ever were to pick him up could play Ryan against me and essentially make Turner and Gonzalez a non-factor as any reception TD or Yrds would cancel each other out. Yes, this would be one, possibly two games of the season. Palmer has 2 more TD's than Ryan, but Palmer has played one more game than Ryan at this point. Every QB has there up and down week...example Drew Brees....

MarkieJ, you are going to obliterate me this week. You have a strong team. I have to agree with the Matt Forte. I had him last year on a team that won that particular week. He was a stud. This season...I have no clue what happened. BTW...what happened to roidman merriman? He, along with the entire D, have been quiet this year.

Are you being a fan when you post about Stafford cause a rookie QB shouldn't be on any fantasy Squad. Especially when he's playing for a team that was win less last season.
    Absolutely obsessed with ball pythons!

I will do the Orton for Bradshaw, but just out of curiousity, why Mendenhall when Bradshaw has netted you more points, and a better average?

That's what makes your team scary... If the Falcons go off (which they are more than capable of), I'm looking down a gun barrel. The Chargers D got hurt big time when nose tackle Jamal Williams went down. Merriman has started off horribly because he's still recovering from knee surgery, and an early groin injury. That was his best game against KC last week so far this year. Fans and the media are already calling for his head, but they don't want to release him for nothing like they did with Drew Brees and Michael Turner. He'll likely get franchise tagged and offered to the highest bidder (if any).

Jerhart how come you didn't pick up Jamaal Charles? I thought you'd snap him up with Larry Johnson seemingly on the outs in KC. Oh yeah... my hate for Jay Cutler grows even larger with Matt Forte doing so poorly.

There are QB's in the league which I don't care for...WR's and so on. But there aren't any RB's that I am annoyed with...except for LJ. OMG, he is the worst RB in the league. And to think...we let go of Jared Allen to keep LJ...gag. I don't think he will be playing for the Chiefs again...thank god. I really like Jamaal Charles, although he has had a fumbling problem, he has that big play game breaker capability about him...we just are not a good team at the moment. Last week losing to you guys was the 2nd worst lost at Arrowhead ever...luckily I didn't see the game as I was in Washington DC for a marathon. I really hope you guys beat the Broncos when you see them again...we surely wont. I hate the -ahem- Donkeys and Faiders more than any other team in the NFL. I don't mind the Chargers as my buddy Sproles plays for them.

Somebody already picked up Jamaal Charles for one. I feel confident about winning this week.

Re: Official Week 8 BP.net Bowl Fantasy Football Thread

Markiej... i don't know, i guess i could be letting me being a fan of stafford make me bias to an extent... but, like i said, i know he's not the answer. i wanted him as a backup in case he had a ryan/flacco rookie season, but instead he ended up as my starter as i was not around when we did the draft... autopick screwed me. but i agree with you guys about the qb situation... i'm not inept, i know my football.

neal, i want mendenhall for two reasons:
one, schedule - pitt has an easier schedule coming up
two, i see the giants as a team in decline right now... they will throw the ball more because they will play from behind. pittsburgh can afford to give their backs more carries... so, right or wrong, i think mendenhall will a better end to his season.

Right now it seems like a few of the higher powered offense's are struggling. Didn't see that one coming, especially not the colts vs the 49ers.
