    Promotion! But... Cincinnati, Ohio???

Does anybody know anything about Cincinnati, Ohio, or live there? I just got a promotion, and it requires me moving to Cincinnati. I'm pretty excited, because it's a position that I've worked very, very hard for, but I don't know anything about that particular city.

The office is located near Forest Park... and I was looking at an apartment in Fairfield. Is that a decent area?

Just trying to a get a general feel for drive times, good places to hang out, etc.

    Thanks!

    Re: Promotion! But... Cincinnati, Ohio???

Fairfield is not a bad area at all, I actually lived there for the first few years of my life. I don't have much memory of it, but I think it's still a pretty nice town. I grew up in Mason from the time I was 5 until I moved to college

My dad lived in Sharonville and just moved to Glendale, both of which are examples of suburbia, but not as suburban as Mason, if that's what you're looking for.

As for hanging out, I mainly hung out on the college campus at University of Cincinnati so that's probably not going to help you much. I know my brother hangs out at Hyde park a lot, which is closer to downtown. There's probably more going on closer to the city, but Fairfield is still pretty big so there's going to be something to do there.

    *and congratulations on the promotion!

    Congrat's on your promotion!!
Getting an apartment in Fairfield would be nice... There is alot in that area. Me and my son Go to Jungle Jim's alot... it is Large Grocery store that has food from all over the world. Route 4/Dixie highway has ton's of places to eat and shop, car dealers, pet stores and much, much more.
I currently work in Forest Park myself so if you need more info contact me directly. I would not live in Forest Park, but I highly recommend Fairfield. It is actually Butler county. Forest Park is Hamilton county.
I live in Colerain Township but it has it's bad and good areas. Whereas Fairfield I would say all good.
The closest Mall would be Cincinnati Mills Mall but it's going to close down soon, it's only a few anchor stores left.
The Mall to go to would Be Tri-County Mall and if you want High end it would be Kenwood Mall.
I know nothing about hanging out like bars or clubs. I do know there is a club call Metropolis in the Back of Cincinnati mills Mall but I have never been. Well good Luck
