Night crawler
Hey I am kind of new to this whole ball python thing so I was wondering if it is normal fr my ball python to be crawling around all night and poking at the lid like its trying to escape?
I got her(i am actually unsure of the sex) around 5 weeks ago and this whole crawling all over the place and poking at the lid just started a week ago.

Re: Night crawler
I was thinking that i am about to go pick up a mouse and see what happens from there. She is still out acting all crazy and its past noon here with all the lights on and she is normally in one of her hides at this time.

Re: Night crawler
could be hungry or it could feel uneasy in its enclosure, make sure you are feeding on a regular schedule and that the temps/humidity levels are correct.
But having them cruise at night is perfectly normal, everynow and then they may spend some daytime hanging out too.

You:How many snakes do you have?
Me: Oh, just a room full.
You:Eh, how many?
Me:A ROOM FULL.

Re: Night crawler
If you're only feeding one prey item weekly I would bump it up to two. If your husbandry is correct then odds are he just may be hungry.
