Eye problem?

Hey guys!

I'm new to this forum , so big hello!!

I have just picked up some more wild type bp's all are in good condition except one has a problem with one of her eyes.

I will try and take some good pictures but will try an explain what the problem is. Apparently she was a rescue from a spanish woman who was too afraid to even pick her up and whether she was born with this problem or if it occured later i dont know.

Basically it looks like her eye has been pushed inwards, it doesnt seem to have any damage - i.e not scarred or cloudy and she does seem to be able to move it but it is inverted.

does anyone know what might have caused this or if it is likely she can see anything with this eye?

the pic i have attached kinda shows how it is inverted compared to the other eye but i will try and get a better pic for you, but she is just settling in so i didn't want to stress her out too much.

does it look like a dent in the eye?

raise the humidity in the enclosure or give her a little soak, the problem will fix itself in proper humidity.

no it is literally like the eye has been pushed back into the head. If you can picture looking down at a bp the eyes stick out a little dont they, well one of her eyes is so far back that its flat to her head.

Well the first thing is to get them hosted somewhere online.

You can put them in your gallery here - this tutorial is a bit old but the basic procedure is the same I think.

And here is another one in video form that might also help.

They should also have tutorials to help you.

well I have heard of their eyes getting pushed in or dented from a bad shed. I would think if you get the humidity right and after the next shed it would correct itself!
