African Rock Python
Anybody own an African Rock Python?
I just got one in a trade. He/she is approx 7 foot and so far has been pretty docile. I can pick him/her up and all I get is a little hissing, but after that, pretty good, not head shy at all.

As requested...

Its a good thing he's in the U.S., because if he was in Africa he would probably end up as a pair of boots.

I have read that, yes. But I have also read that captive bred are not as prone to being mean. I have only had this guy about a week; no striking, etc, just a bit of hissing when I pick him up.
