The first one is just a normal, while the second one seems like a pretty nice pastel. Choice is a no brainer for the 2nd with the info you've given (like size, sex, purpose are all lacking).

just gunna be a pet no plans at the moment for future breeding

i ended up picking up the first guy cause of his pattern and coloring..Like Danounet had said, i hadn't seen a normal like that before, and in my opinion i can always pick up a pastel later down the road

The reduced pattern normal is awesome, however the other one is a morph, always nice to have more morphs... Hard decision there but I think both were good choices. Hopefully that normal ends up producing some hot reduced patterns for you.

That normal however, has a great pattern and is definitely the winner in my book!

I'm a sucker for normals, especially dinker normals. Morphs are pretty darned awesome, but all kinds of people have some pretty fancy pastels and such. Normals are no longer sought-after; people everywhere are trying to get rid of their normals, and in the process some really nice ones get thrown around for dirt-cheap. Got my little "normal" (as if!) girl Prospekt for $35.

There's just something about the natural, beautiful colors and unique patterns of normals that I love. It's like you've picked up a snake straight from Africa (that is, without the cruelty and parasite infestations ), whereas I couldn't imagine finding a bright pastel, a leucy, a bee, or other morphs in Africa.




In other words, I vote the reduced pattern / gorgeous colored normal.

I prefer normal to pastel usually lol. A least the light ones. But the pastel is a morph and can always be useful.

Really, you should go with what you like. If you are not sure, may be you should wait and get something else. Or both lol.
