I hate to be the messanger of bad news and also I might be wrong, but I dont think the cotton is a good idea. Bacteria and mold will grow on it over time. Maybe take the cottons off?

Yea i know trust me i change them out every week its worked with 2 clutches before just got to stay ontop of it before they get moldy.
