I've kept many lizards such as; iguanas, skinks, swifts, chameleons other geckos, etc.
Cresties are by far the easiest in terms of care. No special lights, no special heating, no live insects always having to be on hand. Just give them their crested gecko diet and that's it. I use the 'Repashy Crested Gecko Diet' and make sure they have fresh water and call it good. Also just make sure the temps don't go above 80 or below 65, which is easy for most homes. My home stays around 73-75 pretty much year round.
