I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with it.

The Helix I had used was fine, but for an additional rack or two, and a future incubator, I decided to get the Herpstat Pro in order to run everthing (at the moment) from just one unit.

I really like the Hi/Lo temp alarms that can be set. The night-drop feature will be great for breeding (if I even decide to drop the temps at night). The ability to control the lighting, and simulate sunrise and sunset, while I don't believe the BP's gain anything from it, I think it's really cool and I'm using it until The next rack comes in.

I also like the fact that it's HIGHLY customizable, and extremely easy to use. Fine tuning the temps within 0.1 degrees is really nice too! Setting up 2 racks and the lighting feature took less than 5 minutes.

Just thought I'd share I highly recommend it!

Nice to hear good things about the Herpstat Pro. I've been using a Helix, but the Herpstats have more functionality and better prices. Methinks I'll be getting a Herpstat Pro for my racks very soon.

Has anyone used the Uploader package part? I like the text/e-mail possibilities, but haven't seen any comments or reviews on that feature.

Those are definitely features that I would LOVE! I haven't heard anyone talk about those either. I don't have a big enough collection (or wallet) for one of those yet, but believe me, it's on my list!!

Right now I have a Herpstat and Herpstat ND. Both work phenomenally; I couldn't be happier with them! Customer for life, that's for sure!

    Congrats on your pickup!

I have a friend who has the uploader package, but as far as I know, they haven't messed around with it yet. When they do, I'll try to let ya know.

[QUOTE=euphuistical;1164578]I really wish that the LCD display of a thermostat didn't make me actually want the thermostat so bad haha.

I have some blue lcds for ND's and II's on the way so hopefully first months of 2010 they'll be available. The blue screens definately look amazing and are worth the extra couple of bucks.

I appreciate all the great comments!
