Re: Soooo glad all my pets get along
I put one of my snakes on my german shepherd and he looked back to check it out and got bit on the nose. Didn't faze the dog but the snake was upset.

Methinks the dog may just be too dumb to know there is a snake on it?
I have a friend with one of those dogs so I am basing this on experience and deep knowledge...

LOL Bruce, and cute picture! My dog pays zero attention to the snakes, unless another household pet gets near them... then his herding/guarding instinct kicks in, and he'll stand over to protect them.

Haha, my poms pretty much ignore the snakes when I have them out, even if I put the snakes on them like that, which I have done when the dogs get jealous of me holding the snakes and decide to scoot up real close. The cats are the ones that show real interest. My female cat will get up there and put her paw on the snakes and just lay here purring. She's declawed of course otherwise I would never allow her to get that close. Her getting spooked by something and clawing the snake is not something I wanna see.
