Re: Almost done with my incubator.
Should do the trick, nice pick up
I used a mini fridge last season, and will be doing side by side mini fridges this season, lol.
(They fit nicely in my closet out of the way)

Re: Almost done with my incubator.
Nice pick-up, and its looking good, very similar to the one I use.
I would mention, I know the Ranco was free, but when you're talking incubator I'd really think about using a proportional t-stat instead of an on-off.

Re: Almost done with my incubator.
I didn't know it was an on off type. It holds the temps with zero fluxuations. If i open the door for a sec the temp only drops by one degree but picks back up in seconds. Im thinking of adding a back up so ill have 2 seperate systems running but each system will be able to hold the temps fine.

its not going to matter that much. during maternal incuabtion (the way mother nature has been doing it for thousands of years) temps fluctuate a copule of degrees. see here: (http://moreliaviridis.yuku.com/srepl...-special-.html). that is for GTP but the same holds true for balls im sure. as long as the temps don't shift too much, you should be fine.

Re: Almost done with my incubator.
Looks awesome, nice and clean.
You might want to hook up a small fan to circulate the air/heat. We used a computer fan wired to a spare cell phone charger. Worked like a charm. There is a post in the DIY forum.

That looks nice, where is the best place to put the heattape in an incubator/fridge and why?
Thanks
