    Weighing my little buddies

    question
    Friday is feeding day do I weight them before I give them their food or what just got the scale

    a lot of people weigh (on empty) when the snake hasn't eaten for a bit
    i think u just specify

    I like to weigh all mine empty but I think is is more of a preference thing then a neccessity. Just be consistent with it and maybe in your records specify that it's an empty weight.

    Empty. You want to monitor the weight of the snake. Not wieight of snake and rodent. You can weigh the food item itself to keep track of food size.

    I weigh just after they have a poop and pee party to get a true "empty weight"

    7 adult Royals (2.5), 1.0 COS Pastel, 1.0 Enchi, 1.1 Lesser platty Royal python, 1.1 Black pastel Royal python, 0.1 Blue eyed leucistic ( Super lesser), 0.1 Piebald Royal python, 1.0 Sinaloan milk snake 1.0 crested gecko and 1 bad case of ETS. no wife, no surprise.

    I try to weight when they shed. They usually empty themself at the same time

    I also weight at any moment when I am fallowing a snake who is not eating.

    yah after they shed would be a great time to weight in.. they usually let everything out after a shed!
