Is it ok to give balls rats raised on cedar??

I just switched my rat bedding over to cedar because it cuts way down on the smell, just wondering if its still ok to feed my balls rats raised on cedar, thanks

uhm u shouldnt have rats on cedar it can kill them and uhm not sure bout feeding them shouldnt be bad

Soon you wont have any rats to breed or feed if you keep them on cedar

Might want to research bedding for rodents

Thanks, I'll be changing that bedding in the morning. I don't know why I thought it was fine for rats(knew it wasen't ok for balls) They've only been on it for a couple days so no harm done.

Should be ok, tis a common mistake, good thing you asked

Same issues too, the oils cause upper respiratory.
You may have some sneezers for a bit but they should be ok since it's only been a couple days.

yea cuz me and my mom long time ago had 2 rats and we used cedar and 1 died and the other servived for like 2 years or more my moms kept him and she even lost it for like 5 days out side and then found him lol but yea not good bedding at all for them

Just curious what animals can use cedar bedding, I see it promenently displayed at pet stores and department stores.

typically animals like Dogs or cats for long term..it acts as a flea repellent. Must other small mammals just don't tend to do as well, with the exception of like G. Pigs.

G pigs do terrible on cedar. Cedar is not good for anything but making stores money.
