    Reptile Basics Hides

I love them! I have them for my pastel girl and they are incredible! The only problem is their weight. They are super light, so when my BP tries to squeeze into them, it comes up like a hat.

I know that BPs like to be hidden and secure by having the hide touch all sides of them. So, what if I hot glued a small weight to the top of the hide? It would be harder for her to push up the hide and she could squeeze in it better.

    Opinions?

I use them too. I know for a fact that my snakes can fit all the way in them if they want so if they decide they want to wear it like a shell or sprawl out from under it, fine. I kind of look at it like kicking the blankets around on the bed. Or, on those cold, winter nights when I get a little warm and toasty under the blanket and I kick out my leg to cool off a bit...

Maybe time to move up to the next largest size. If she can't hardly fit in the XL, it may be time to start looking at some cat litter boxes to turn into hides...

lol she is not even close to that! right now she is in the small. Maybe I should look at the mediums, but for now, do you think I could get away with a weight hot glued to the top?

I wouldnt worry about hot gluing a weight, upgrade to the medium hides. I lose the hides all together once theyve out grown the mediums in my racks.

I moved up to large hides from RBI...With the mediums they seem to just wear then the last couple of months...I wouldn't worry about the weighting of them...I think my snakes just like ticking me off by messing up their cages...
