heating a wood bottom tank?

my tank has about 1/2 inch thick wood on the bottom which i think rules out UTHs ?
I am looking for another source in addition to a lamp and am wondering what the options are for wood tanks. google hasnt revealed much...

UTH's won't heat through wood floors(very well), and most people won't use wood floors in a ball python enclosure(Hard to keep sanitary), which is why you'll find little on the subject
