I'm still around
i haven't been on much over the past few months, at first it was due to work, but found out my mom ha has/had colon cancer the end of Sept. the surgery went well, no colostomy needed, but the cancer has metastasized to her liver, we start chemo on Monday, so between being at her place constantly over the past month without internet! Rushing home every other day to tend to the rats & snakes, I'm ragged right now. I'll keep yall posted

I'm sorry to hear that.I can relate to what your going through. As a child my mother had breast cancer but she beat it.My father had half a lung removed 3months ago and is just finishing up his Chemo now.Its really rough on the person and their family.I watched my father turn from an older gentleman to an old man in the process of a year. The Cancer AND the treatment are serious stuff.

Re: I'm still around
Thank you all for your concern & prayers .
We found out today when I took her in for chemo, that her PET/CT scan showed something in one of her mammary glands, so to be on the safe side & to be sure there is no breast cancer starting up, the Dr. ordered, a mammogram & ultrasound. Lets pray that it is nothing.

Re: I'm still around
Wow that sucks. Keep up hope.
My uncle was diagnosed with esophogial cancer, and basically told that chemo would buy him some time but it was terminal.
Last checkup, doctors found no sign of cancer, sometimes chemo can work wonders. We're all hoping for your mom to get better.
