Some banding or extremely reduced pattern snakes have proven to be genetic. For example, Pythonica (http://www.pythonica.ca/morphs/) here in Canada has a few that have proven to be genetic.

I would hazzard a guess though that your male is not a genetic banded/reduced pattern. So the babies are really a free for all. The only way to know would be to breed the two snakes, hold back all female offspring, and then in three years breed them all back to the male and see what you get.
