    VMWare Fusion is similar to Parallels, in that it runs as an application on the mac side. You don't have to boot into windows.

    You can download a trial of Fusion, but it looks like they're preparing for their 3.0 launch.

    If I was doing something that required the full power of my hardware, then I would suggest Bootcamp.
