Odd Spur Issue; Help/Info?

I was handling one of my snakes today and noticed something really weird. One of his spurs has either fallen off or somehow become ingrown. Has anyone ever seen this before? Will this lead to any other problems? He is part of a really interesting dinking project and (out of my current collection) the snake I have had the longest so I am going to be really upset if this is a big deal. Any help or info will be greatly appreciated. This is a new one for me .

I have had a male bp, drop both of his spurs. Id say its normal, it grew back eventually. I wouldn't worry.

It's absolutely fine. Some snakes will loose theirs and re-grow them. Some loose them, and they don't re-grow them. I'd day if it's not red and puffy looking (infected) then it should be fine.

They don't "lose" their spurs - they're still there. What you see as a spur is actually retained shed over the actual spur that builds up over time.

Imagine my shock and surprise when Tim Bailey proceeded to demonstrate this to me, by pulling off the spurs on one of my males (and it's hollow inside). It's like a cap that sits on the spur and builds up over time with each shed to get thicker and longer.

We're sitting in my hotel room chatting, and I pull out a dinker male to show him and I'm like "what are you doing?????". He proceeds to "edu-macate" me with "I bet you didn't know that spurs are just a build up of shed?"
