There will be areas driving thru that will be cold by then, but he should travel just fine. Put him in a soft cloth bag tied shut, and put that into a suitably sized box with maybe some shredded newspaper or other softener material and keep him closed up and warm. I know there are heat packs available to keep him plenty warm for the trip. Check on www.shipyourreptiles.com for the heat packs. Do not use the hand warmer ones the miltary may have made available to you. The ones from shipyourreptiles will be much better for them.
