If you are looking for a beginner frog try a pyxie or pacman. Both are terrestrial burrowing frogs that only need a ten gallon for most adults, male pyxies will definitely need larger though. Very hardy species and very simple care.

But I doubt you wanna keep either of those in a large cricket keeper, they get too big. If you can do a 20 gal I would recommend a pacman or a female pixie. 10 gallon would work too but for a pixie I would do a 20.

Depending on where you live dictates whether your gonna need a headpad or not. If you live anywhere but Florida your probably going to need to either bump your house heater up during the winter or get an in-room heater. But you wont necessary need a heat pad for those options.
