Sounds like he really wasn't interested in eating the first day, and really not the second day. I personally don't offer food two days in a row - it's "bullseye or bust". If they don't eat, they don't get offered again until the next feed day. Offering multiple days in a row can actually put an animal off from eating, and can cause more harm than good (harm in more refusals).
