I had some of those rock hides, and yeah, they're definitely heavy.

also, they turned out to be what was causing the tan, crusty face on my snake too. paint dust would come off of them if you rubbed your finger on them hard. see this thread about that. http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showthread.php?t=103179

Oh thank you...I noticed that on Elizabeth and she has one of those as well. And I too was thinking...is she going to shed?? Looks exactly the same. Think it might be time to ditch the rock....and go with something else. I did make my first hide this week. (Im very proud of myself...as I am not a handy type of person). Something else I found was going to the dollar store and picking up a pitcher....Henry LOVES the top of it as a hide. But then again....he is a little koo koo ka choo!
