lol yeah I can imagine.. It was hard picking out this gun, given all the other choices out there.
In the end it was the best value for performance vs $ out there (gander mtn was having a sale, got it with a nice discount off msrp AND the scope came free). This is also my first "bigger caliber" rifle I've ever shot, and a great all around long range hunting rifle for just about any american big game. I've even heard people using 180 or 200 grain 300 win mag rounds for brown bear and moose. Either way, it makes quick work of watermelons. I couldn't find a piece of the shell of the watermelon bigger than 2 square inches.
I've always had a "wishlist" of firearms, consisting mostly of "classic" guns.. Good ol' 1800s style winchester, a colt peacemaker, and a 44 magnum are way at the top. Semi-auto rifles and pistols never interested me, and neither have shotguns (though both are fun to shoot).
