need help on buying an albino

im looking to buy a female albino the next show i go to(later this month).
the last show i went to lots of ppl had albinos for sale. the price ranged from $350-600 for 09s. i no quality plays a big roll in the price also. what are some of the things i need to look for when buying a higher quality albino ?

if someone could please post a pic of a low quality and a high quality that would help out alot.

For an albino it's pretty straightforward. Buy a healthy specimen, preferably from a reputable breeder. High contrast/low contrast are up to you. Buy based on what you like. Examine the animals on their table for health issues. Take someone who is familiar with the show's breeders if need be.

Look around before you make a purchase. If there are ones you really like, ask to handle it. Check for any signs that seem abnormal such as the snake not being alert, tongue not flicking but sticking out, underweight, popping/clicking noises when it exhales, things such as that. For the coloration whether it's bright or dark would be your choice because you may like the low contrast Binos but I may suggest High contrast. So it's up to you on what you want for the coloration, and that will also vary in price.

I don't think there's really a "bad vs good" with albinos, general health and wellness aside... it's more about the contrast level, and some (most?) prefer high over low contrast. I recently bought a pair of 100% het Albinos from JKobylka, and specifically chose his based on the high-contrast siblings/parents.

All personal preference, but here's a good side-by-side comparison of high & low:

Re: need help on buying an albino

thanks for the help. i am looking to get a high contrast albino i just wasnt sure if the color or pattern scheme played a roll in the over all quality of the snake.

i have one more question about albinos.
if i want to make SPIDER ALBINOS can i breed a REG ALBINO to a SPIDER HET ALBINO ? or do both parents have to have the spider and albino in them ?

    thanks robert

You could (theoretically) get Albino Spiders by breeding:

Spider het Albino x het Albino
    Spider het Albino x Albino
    Spider Albino x het Albino
    Spider Albino x Albino
