    Accurite wires

So as most of you have accurites, you'll know that the probe wire is 10 ft long, I think. That's what the label says. I'm having a problem with storing all that wire in a 16 qt tub. Should I just bundle it up and leave it under the substrate, or is there a clever trick that I didn't find through searching the forums?

    Thanks in advance!

Yeah just put the end in the tub where you are trying to monitor the heat. Leave the rest outside the tub.

    Re: Accurite wires

I never untied my wires from when i opened the package. I tried putting it under the substrate it really doesn't like to stay down. You could try taping it down somewhere or take all the wires out like mentioned above, but that might make more of a mess then just taping down some wound up wire.

    Re: Accurite wires

    i just did this

most of it is still coiled up and rubberbanded to the device, while the amount i actually use trails down under the substrate. I think it works pretty well and it goes along with the thermometer whenever i have to take it out for cleaning. simple, neat, and out of the way.
