Cleaning supplies
Hey everyone, i decided im gonna downgrade my tank for the winter months, so that means im bringing a 20L back from my basement after who knows how long, but far over a year, and my basement is about as bad as it get mildew wise. I was wondering what kind of household cleaners would be best. I figured anything would work as long as i rinse it enough, but im wondering whats the most common/effective.

Depending on how bad it is mildewed, you could try bleach and water. If it is super bad, then maybe try a bathroom cleaner specifically for mold and mildew, but you would definitely have to make sure that it was thoroughly rinsed and aired out before using it...

Bleach will kill any mold or mildew on the spot! Just wash with soap and water after!

Hot soap and water, scrub well. Mix a 10% bleach solution, and spray or cover the tank with it--let sit for 5 minutes, then rinse very well until you don't smell the bleach in the tank anymore.

This right here will do the trick. Works like a charm every time.
