Is this a possible RI ??

Was hangin with my male Albino and he was acting normally then all of a sudden, while he was heading downward on my arm, fluid started coming out of his nose on my shirt. It was like cloudy water. He kinda blew it out and went about his business.
He was in his hide all day so he wasn't drinking water just before or anything. No wheezing or struggling to breath. I turned his temps up a little(they were at 90 at the time) just to be safe.

He's def a little less active then normal the past few nights.

Is this the beginings of an RI ??

Most likely he took a drink at some point and you didn't realize it. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Thanks. It's possible, but I pulled him out his hide at about four in the afternoon and he was in his hide all day.

That's my guess, but I'm definitely not an expert... the same thing (as you describe it) happened once when I first got Mona, and never happened again or turned into an illness. I did actually witness her drinking shortly before, so was able to put 2 & 2 together. Don't snakes have a tendency to "hold" water in their mouth sometimes?

My advice would be to keep an eye on him, and make a vet appointment if it happens again.

He seems do be doing ok. Last night was feeding day for me and he slammed a nice sized Rat. Checked him again this morning and he's not wheezing or and signs of fluids. I have a great Reptile Vet specialist about 30 min away and he's on my speed dial so i'm always ready. lol

O would keep an eye on him. That sounds like it could be the begining of an RI. I'd bump up temps and keep close watch.

Well, it could be a sign of RI.

When it came out, did it come out really fast like water would, or did it come out in a slowish motion and was a bit gooey or thick?

If it just came out pretty fast then I wouldn't be concerned, that most likely would be just water. Though, I would keep an eye out just in case.

it came out pretty fast like cloudy water. similar to a runny nose but faster. i'm probably making it sound more confusing/contradicting lol. ever see it when someone has that nasty drop of water hanging off their nose in the winter ? like that.

In all seriousnous . he seems ok but i did bump up temps and made it a little dryer in there. And will keep a close eye on him.

    Thanks all...
