    I don't know a single snake I've ever encountered that doesn't have the ability to hiss..

    pythons, boas, vipers, cobras, colubrids..

    I guess I've never thought about sand boas, I've never seen one be pissy before, and they just don't look like they could ever be "hissy" in particular, but I bet they could if they wanted to.

    As with eventide, I find it cute too

    When I first got my coastal carpet python, she would put on a show whenever I got too close for her comfort. She'd hiss and get coiled up and puff up, but that wore off very quickly as she settled. She was just shook up from shipping and being somewhere new, understandable especially for a young snake. Never struck once, it was all for show.
