Well... you were all right!
I just took a closer look at my "girl" Sahara (LV Albino), and she is definitely a HE!
Guess I have to change his name now - or maybe not? So the next question is, do I need to separate them? The GIRL is around 4 months old, and maybe 25g, which I'm thinking is too young for breeding. But will they do anything if they're not ready? Anyway, here is the proof... please correct me if I'm wrong, but this certainly looks like a boy "V" and bulge to me.
Yes, he peed on me - LOL

And two more pics, just because they're cute...

Re: Well... you were all right!
Thanks for the good pics. Definitely looks male to me.
25 grams and 4 months is way too young for breeding, and you don't want him harassing/breeding her at that age. Definitely separate them for at least another year (leos reach maturity at around 18 months old, and females should not be bred at less than 50 grams, preferably more like 60+).
Oh, and you'll get nothing but agreement out of me regarding them being cute.

Yeah, what (s)he said!!
Glad you had a closer look, it would be good to separate them 'til you (and, more importantly, they) are ready for wee little babies!

Speaking of which, when could they be ready to breed? The BOY weighed around 29g at last weighing, and the girl (still have to verify her gender, hehe) was around 25. I seem to remember 50g being a good breeding weight, so I wonder how long it would take to reach that size?
Final question - what will I get if I breed them, a Las Vegas Albino (het patternless) and SHTCT? Is that a pointless mating?

Re: Well... you were all right!
I think I've found a solution for now... my roommate was looking for a definite male leo, since he already has two boys in a 20g tank. He just went to look at Sahara, and asked if he could buy him off me - I said yes.
I'd actually prefer to keep Sahara over Sunny if I had to get rid of one, but this just seems like a perfect situation. Not to mention he's my roommate, so it's not like I can't visit Sahara whenever I want. (as long as we're still living together, at least) Whaddya think? Then I can just keep Sunny in the terrarium, and maybe get her a male when she's of size... probably another SHTCT or something else compatible.

Wait, wait, wait... he's keeping males together in a tank? That's a huge no, no. Males can be extremely territorial and will fight (to the death if they are able)
Is he sure that he is housing males?
