    Wow! mMost obvious scam ever!

It's like he isn't even trying to fool me.

    Greetings to you my friend.

I know this will come to you as a surprise because you do not know me. I am John Asher, I work in the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), packaging and courier department. I got your contact in my search for a honest person and some one I could trust. Can I trust you?

I want you to help me clear this package that is already in Europe which I shipped through our Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) accredited courier agent but the contents of the package is $25,000,000.00 all in $100.00 bills, but the courier company does not know that it is money that I have in the package all I want you to do for me now is to give me your mailing address, your private phone and fax, and I hope that at the end of the day, you will have 30% and 70% will be for me. My identity must not be revealed to anybody.

If this arrangement is okay by you, you can call or e-mail me for security reasons other modalities will be discussed as soon as you get back to me.

    Best regards to your family,
    John Asher

Re: Wow! mMost obvious scam ever!

My mom stupidly got scammed by someone from around that area. She was looking to meet a guy over the internet, and came upon this one idiot. Soon enough she was getting packages in the mail, having to send those to some places, yada yada ya... Next thing you know she's got cops banging on her door and she's being questioned. The cops laughed when she told them all he promised her was to be with her when he "came back from Doctors without Borders", and she laughed with them too.

They were using stolen credit cards to purchase stuff, and since my mom had a hand in it (without knowing) the people could have pressed charges against her, but they didn't, thank god. I couldn't believe my mom actually fell for this stupid scam. I'm glad some people have a head on their shoulders!

I get those type of e-mails in my spam folder every other day. I also get the ones when im selling on Graigslist stating that they will send me a money order and a friend will pick up the object for sale the next day. There are alot of people that just see $ signs..
