Oh and I love my snake but shes no prize snake so little marks are not a big think. any was, I just don't have a lot of money the eggs are do 2 weeks after my baby is due. and I AM NOT going into WHY I WAS TRYING TO HAVE EGGS AT THE SAME TIME IF I DID NOT HAVE THE MONEY FOR THEM. so lets not go there. as for the holes in foam its my only way to keep the temp down or it would be 110 degree in there. I will be waking up every 2 hours to check the temp.
So you think it's ok because little burn marks don't bother YOU because she's "no prize snake". How about maybe not wanting to burn your snake because it's an animal that you have chosen to be responsible for all aspects of it's life? How are you measuring your temps? They don't regulate their own heat, they are ectothermic. That means that they only get as warm or as cool as their environment. They don't have an internal thermostat. Have you ever read a caresheet? I have to ask these questions as I really don't understand how anyone would assume care of an animal without knowing how to properly care for it.
